Donna Bailey


Donna Bailey is a photo-media artist based in Kangaroo Flat on the outskirts of Bendigo, Victoria,

Donna lives and works on Dja Dja Wurrung country and for the past twenty-five years, has created an ongoing body of work concerned with representations of childhood, belonging and place. She uses camera and film; and her richly saturated coloured photographs are all handprinted. 

Donna's work has been shown widely in solo, group and touring exhibitions in galleries throughout Australia and overseas. These include the National Gallery of Victoria, Australian Centre for Photography,  Art Gallery of New South Wales, Monash University Museum of Art (now the Museum of Australian Photography), Monash Gallery of Art,  Bendigo Art Gallery, (MAMA), Murray Art Museum, Albury, Centre for Contemporary Photography and in regional galleries throughout New South Wales, Tasmania, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.

Donna's works are held in the collections of the National Gallery of Victoria, Monash Gallery of Art, Monash University Museum of Art, La Trobe University (FM Curtis collection),  Adelaide University, Bendigo Art Gallery, (MAMA), Murray Art Museum and in private collections.
